The old shelves were stuffed to the top with old books, grimoires, scrolls in ivory cases and scrolls from which the cases were long lost, ebony caskets with intricate locks, and more thick, leather bound books.

Was there anyone to be found who still possessed the knowlegde to read the old scriptings and symbols?


This bookcase was made after I visited Venice where I saw a small type-case made into a bookcase with books, scrolls and tiny Ventian glass bottles. At home, I created the bookcase and books from Fimo clay on the frame of a bookend, so it could hold up some real books.
